I like that RSS (Really Simple Syndication) and newsreaders let you know what is updated on their page.  This technology could be useful in helping teachers stay up to date with technology and collaborate with one another from around the world.  It can also be used by students to stay up to date on current events of a topic that the class may be discussing in depth for a class project.  I did notice that on some of the newsreaders that not all the information posted on them is relevant to the topic I was looking for when I did a search.   Teachers can use this RSS technology to their advantage by asking students questions and seeing if they can update the teacher instead of the teacher having to update them on an ongoing topic.
